New York City choreographers and dance companies are invited to apply for residencies via the CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI). A transformative arts incubator that takes advantage of CUNY facilities while integrating New York City’s dance community with the public university system, CDI provides rehearsal and performance space on 14 CUNY college campuses and 4 partner organizations, plus teaching opportunities.

Individual choreographers and companies working in a variety of styles, from contemporary to classical and culturally specific forms, are encouraged to apply. This application is for residencies that will take place between July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.
