Immediate Need: Hip-Hop, STEP or Afrobeat Teaching Artist

Dance Entropy is seeking teaching artists for dance residency programs in NYC schools in 2026.

There is an immediate need for teaching artists with experience in Hip-hop, STEP or Afrobeats for a residency in the Bronx, scheduled initially for Mondays and Wednesday afternoons, January - March 2026.

- Experience teaching dance to elementary and middle school aged children (Grades 5-8) required.

- Fingerprinted, DOE-approved teaching artist highly preferred.

Rate: $65-$85 per class, or commeasurate with experience.

Based out of its home studio, Green Space in Queens, NY, VG/DE combines performance and specialized outreach programs to inspire communities in cultural institutions throughout the world. VG/DE strives to break down systemic race, gender and other identity barriers to fulfill our ultimate goal of collectiveness and inclusivity through dance. As a professional nonprofit dance company, the communities we engage with have included at risk youth, adolescents, trauma survivors, differently-abled persons, senior citizens and aspiring/professional dancers.
