Dual Rivet is excited to announce our 6th annual MADE BY WOMEN Festival, highlighting women choreographers & filmmakers. This festival advocates and celebrates inclusion by connecting underrepresented creators with networking, resources, and an opportunity to present their work amongst the NYC community with the goal of impacting meaningful change in the industry. Through this festival the company is dedicated to advancing the careers of cis, trans, and gender expansive women creators in dance, dance theater, and movement on film. 

The festival includes an experiential FILM NIGHT as well as a movement based WORKSHOP. These initiatives are in addition to the LIVE PERFORMANCES that MADE BY WOMEN has hosted at Arts On Site's Studio 3R over the past 5 years. 

** The directors of MADE BY WOMEN understand that gender and womanhood- to be specific- is an expansive expression that surpasses binaries. Trans, queer, BIPOC, and gender expansive women are highly encouraged to apply. **

LIVE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA: 
All works submitted....
- Must be complete
- Must be 10-15 minutes in length
- MUST be the piece you plan to present
Choreographers....
- Must identify as a woman* (See above) 
- Involved in the selection panel (to be announced) may not submit any work for consideration

APPLICATION

FILM CRITERIA:
All films submitted....
- Must be complete
- Have a total runtime (including credits) between 10-15 minutes
- Must not have been presented at previous MADE BY WOMEN Festivals
- Must be a movement-based film
- Producer, Director, and/or choreographer must identify as a woman* OR at least 50% of above the line/creative team must identify as a woman* (See above) 

Filmmakers....
-May submit up to 2 films total for consideration
-Involved in the selection panel (to be announced) may not submit any films for consideration
APPLICATION

FESTIVAL:
Live Performance: March 12th & 13th, 2026
Film: March 14th, 2026 (Separate form - Apply HERE)
Workshop: March 14th, 2026

A panel will select 6 pieces that will be presented at Arts On Site Studio 3R on March 12th & 13th. The selected applicant will receive a $300 USD performance stipend, professional photos and video, as well as 2 hours of studio space at Arts On Site (to be used before the presentation of their work).
