Show Date: Sunday, March 8th, 2026- 7:00PM. We will have 2-3 music rehearsals scheduled in the weeks before the show, with additional choreography rehearsal time as needed.

Broadway's greatest hits come in all shapes and sizes, but if there's one thing they all have in common- it's a big ol' fashioned dance break! Join Needs More Work Productions' spicy, bold and colorful ensemble for an evening of song and DANCE as we celebrate musical theater's best and brightest dance-break hits. Get ready for powerhouse vocals, fierce face-kicking and everything in between as our dancer-singer troupe sweeps you off your feet! From Newsies to Pippin, from Ballroom to Fosse, join us to support NMWP's upcoming season of groundbreaking shows said to “raise the bar for indie theater!”.

We are seeking non-union, versatile and passionate singer-dancers to create an experimental night of beloved cabaret music and jaw-dropping dance solos. The ability to learn music independently is a must. Choreographing ability is a plus, though we have a limited number of slots available for dancers who’d like to perform existing choreography. We are also seeking a dependable Music Director.

This event functions as a fundraiser for Anti-Gone, a reimagined Greek tragedy where audiences explore the mechanisms of democracy and create real-time activism plans. We are looking for performers who are willing to volunteer their time to support indie, BIPOC, Trans, Disabled and Imm*grant led theater. Not you? Needs More Work Productions’ shows center themes of social activism, creating thought-provoking conversations directly between audience members and performers.

Submission Instructions: Please prepare two contrasting 16-32 bar cuts of either musical theater or popular music that best represent your vocal and acting prowess, as well as a dance video. Audition videos do not need to reflect the theme of this cabaret. Dancers interested in self-choreographing should also submit a choreography video. Please play your accompaniment on a separate device, acapella videos will not be considered.
