Samaw Dance is looking for a lighting designer for the last weekend in May (May 30-31) for two events in Brooklyn. Both events will have simple looks and minimal cues, think more of a dance festival with multiple pieces back to back with color washes, and black outs. This is perfect for someone who knows how to operate a lighting board and is looking for experience and opportunites. We are a small organization but are able to offer a stipend of $300 for the weekend for approx 10 hrs of in person work (approx $30/hr) with a 30 min lunch break on both days. We will require 1 production meeting over zoom before the performance weekend to go over logistics.

Event 1: DCL Spring Showcase (@dclartscollective) - May 30
This is for our training company's end of season showcase that will have about 10 pieces. Lights will remain pretty simple, color washes and moods, limited cues and blackouts between pieces. This is from 12pm to 5pm.

Event 2: Diffraction Dance Festival (@resonancedancenyc) - May 31
This is for our AAPI+ dance festival with about 14 pieces from various choreographers. Lights will remain simple, 3 lighting cues (inclusive of lights on and lights off). This is from 9am to 4pm
