Mosaic Dance Theater Company is casting its world premiere production of CASSANDRA: AN ONGOING TRAGEDY, a theatrical work that compares Greek myths to horrors of modern day, depicting the eternal existence of hate and the ongoing impact of the evils brought forth from Pandora's Box. Stories told in this piece, related by fictional characters in historical situations, portrayed by 5 actors and 5 dancers, are presented through spoken word and dance, with an original commissioned musical score.
We are seeking 4 experienced nonunion actor/dancers (3 women; 1 man – see casting breakdown which follows) for our October 2026 production. You must be able to move well and learn choreography, and we ask you to include both an acting and dance/movement reel with your submission. You will need a musical ear and be able to speak lines in sync with the music's specific time codes, much like the way a song is structured. We are an ensemble company, and are seeking like-minded performers, interested in and excited by a rehearsal period of hard work, discovery, and going beyond your comfort zone. You must be willing and able to commit to our ongoing rehearsal schedule: Tuesdays 3:00 – 6:00 PM and Thursdays 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Rehearsals begin March 2026.
