TAP DANCE SOLOISTS needed for NYC public schools

Accent Dance NYC is seeking professional TAP DANCE SOLOISTS to perform at NYC schools and other sites as part of our Black History assembly program to be presented on multiple dates at multiple sites through February 2026 and throughout the year.

Accent Dance NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance. We prioritize hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve. BIPOC artists are especially encouraged to apply, though all are welcome. Artists who have experience or an interest in serving youth audiences are also encouraged to apply.

TO APPLY: Please send the following materials by email to the Associate Artistic Director, Kim Johnson, at: Kim@accent.dance

- Resume or detailed bio of your performance experience
- Headshot or clear photo of yourself
- Video of you dancing (reels or performance, studio or improvisation footage). We will view up to 3 minutes max. If your video is longer than 3 minutes, please provide us with time stamp for your section

If you are chosen, in performance, you will need to dance a 2-3 minute set solo, demonstrate what tap is and tell a brief history of Tap, engage the audience in some rhythm call and response, and join the company finale.
