Dance Instructor Needed – K-Pop Dance 

 

Seeking an experienced and engaging dance teacher to lead classes for elementary students ages 5–10. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and confident teaching a blend of jazz, hip-hop, K-pop style, and contemporary dance in a fun, structured environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your love of movement while making a meaningful impact in the New Canaan, CT community.

Duties

•    Design and implement a K-Pop style dance lesson tailored to different age groups and skill levels

•    Lead energetic and motivating dance classes that promote technique, creativity, and enjoyment

•    Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful environment

•    Provide personalized feedback to help students improve their skills and achieve their goals

•    Incorporate elements of choreography and stage presence into lessons

•    Support students’ overall development by integrating aspects of childhood development, early childhood education, and special education when needed

•    Must have a car and reliable transportation to travel to the lesson location

Skills

•    Strong background in dancing styles such as hip hop, K-pop, contemporary, and/or Zumba Kids; experience in choreography is a plus

•    Excellent classroom management skills to foster discipline while encouraging creativity and self-expression

•    Experience in teaching children and working effectively with students of varying abilities

•    Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices

•    Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom experience in educational settings

Schedule:

•    Tuesday April 7 - 3:00-4:00 PM

•    Thursday April 9 - 3:00-4:00PM

Pay:

•    $75 per class

•    High potential for additional teaching opportunities in the future
