Hip Hop Dance Teaching Artist for NYC DoE School programs

 

Accent Dance NYC is seeking an experienced teaching artist who is strong in teaching HIP HOP DANCE to teach an 8-week dance residency with a culminating performance for 2 classes in an elementary school in the Bronx for the Spring 2026.  The classes will be during the school day from late April through June. If successful, there will be more assignments moving forward.

Accent Dance NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance. We prioritize hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve. BIPOC artists are especially encouraged to apply, although all are welcome.

- Cover letter
- Resume or detailed bio of your teaching experience
- Headshot or clear photo of yourself
- Video of your teaching and/ or showing a performance of something you choreographed, preferably with elementary school aged students

If chosen, written curriculum outline/ lesson plans will be required. Anyone chosen will need to be fingerprinted by the NYC DoE, if you are not already.
