Step inside the rehearsal room. In this class, you’ll work directly alongside choreographer Lauren Lovette as she develops new material for her active projects. This is not a technique class — it’s a living creative process. Come ready to collaborate, take risks, and experience what it means to be inside a real choreographic process.

This is a 4-week long workshops series. Participants must be able to commit to all 4 sessions. There will be a brief showing on 4/28 from 2 pm - 2:30 pm.

Prior dance experience required. Please come warmed up and prepared to move. We encourage you to take our 10:00 AM Pro Taylor Modern class or our 10:00 AM Open Ballet prior. Please use our 3 for $45 class offer on Mindbody.

Teacher Bio:  Lauren Lovette personifies the intertwining of dance and choreography, moving seamlessly from one to the other. A former Principal Dancer with New York City Ballet, she has been named the first-ever Choreographer in Residence at Paul Taylor Dance Company, where she creates work in a groundbreaking partnership with the company’s dancers. As Co-Artistic Director of the Nantucket Dance Festival, she is dedicated to expanding access to the art of dance. Lauren brings her active creative process directly into the studio, offering dancers a rare opportunity to work inside a professional choreographic practice.
