CALL FOR DANCERS - BITCH Fest (Immersive Choreoplay)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Seeking versatile dancers who act for BITCH Fest (Breath Ignited Through Creative Healing), a workshop production of a new immersive choreoplay written by Jinah Parker and directed by Tai Thompson.
This work blends dance, theater, and wellness practices into an immersive experience where performers and audience share space. Performers will engage in movement, spoken text, and audience interaction, contributing to a performance that is both embodied and emotionally resonant.
At its core, BITCH Fest tells a story that moves between a woman’s present-day healed self and her younger self, tracing a journey of survival, self-discovery, and transformation. A generational healing narrative connects Karen, her mother Joanna, and her grandmother Ma, exploring how trauma travels across generations and how healing can too.
LOOKING FOR
Versatile dancers who act (strong technicians and movers with the ability to deliver text)
Open to immersive theater and audience interaction
Ability to access emotional depth and storytelling through the body and voice
