KPC seeking Artivists to join dance collective, "Keeping People Connected"

KPC is searching for dynamic, expressive artivists (artists/activists) who dance and act, specifically those adept at connecting emotion to choreography through narrative-based movement, and particularly emotionally intelligent, self-aware, curious, mature performing artists.
Seeking artists who are focused, determined and fired up to create change in the world by using dance as our medium to access emotion, leading to conversation and understanding: "We are more alike than we are different" as our motivating credo.
ESPECIALLY SEEKING BLACK & BROWN GLOBAL MAJORITY MEMBERS, 2SLGBTQIA+ & Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, & Non-Binary artists of various gender, age, body size & shape, ability & disability ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!
Upcoming rehearsals beginning Sunday May 3rd and onwards, preparing for performance opportunities June 18th-21st, with further opportunities in 2026 and beyond.
KPC's initiatives include offering creative movement workshops within the recovery community, at community centers, residential facilities, and harm reduction sites, hourly teaching assistant rate PAID for these classes, assisting Katharine, bi-weekly/monthly MAX, $25-$35/hour, depending on how many KPC artists join Katie that class.
PAID performances/projects: $150 minimum per performance/day of filming.
Rehearsals are not compensated and are attended voluntarily twice weekly, Wednesdays 6-10pm and Sundays 2-6pm OR 3-7pm, depending on the location of rehearsal that day.
Katharine will work with you to accommodate conflicts if we're a good match to collaborate! For example, if you’re only available to rehearse Sundays, and only sometimes on Wednesdays, we can make that work!
Accepting SUBMISSIONS for AUDITION APPOINTMENTS held within KPC company rehearsals:
Wednesday April 22nd 7-9pm
Sunday April 26th 3-5pm
Wednesday April 29th 7-9pm
KPC rehearses weekly, Wednesdays 6-10 pm and Sundays 2-6pm OR 3-7pm. Please ensure your availability aligns with at least one day a week of this schedule before applying.
