DANCER AUDITION CALL – OVERFLOW (THE TANK, JULY 2026)

I am seeking 3 female dancers and 1 male dancer for the next iteration of Overflow, an evening-length choreographic work that will be presented at The Tank in early July 2026.

Overflow is a contemporary dance-theatre piece that explores psychological fragmentation, shifting identity, and emotional overload. The work moves through rapidly changing internal states, blending contemporary and modern technique with pedestrian movement, improvisation, and theatrical elements. It lives in a space between reality and perception, often shifting between intensity, humor, and vulnerability. Dancers should feel comfortable embodying emotional range, working collaboratively, and staying present in both structured choreography and improvisational tasks.

This new version of Overflow continues to expand the original work premiered at Arts On Site in March 2026, deepening its choreographic and theatrical world for a longer run at The Tank.

Auditions will take place on Saturday, May 2nd (time and location TBD). Rehearsals will be held in NYC leading up to the July performances, meeting once or twice a week depending on dancer roles and section assignments. A $200 stipend will be provided following the performances.

Dancers with strong contemporary and modern backgrounds, as well as comfort with acting-based movement and improvisation, are encouraged to apply
