Join us Tuesdays from 3:30 - 5:00 pm, beginning on April 28th at Taylor Dance West! The class is designed for advanced dancers and aspiring professionals, and offers a deep dive into the technique and style that defines The Sarafinas—clean lines, dynamic musical phrasing, intricate formations, and confident, feminine power.

Expect a focused and supportive atmosphere that emphasizes excellence, consistency, and growth—while still celebrating individuality and artistry within a unified ensemble.

What to wear: Class will be conducted in classical dance heels, reinforcing strength, control, and the refined aesthetic that is central to The Sarafinas’ style.

Teacher Bio: Purdie Baumann is a multifaceted artist and producer with over 25 years in the entertainment industry. A former Radio City Rockette, her career has spanned across every facet of visual storytelling including Broadway, film and television, fashion shows, and dance. Purdie has used her vast experience to launch several successful ventures including Purdie Entertainment through which she has produced several short films centered on dance and fashion collaboration, as well as, The Sarafinas, a female performance company that has performed in Manhattan's most illustrious venues. As of February 2026, she has co-created and co-produced her first full length production, The Sarafinas, My Way, with plans for several future collaborations and presentations in the works. A quintessential artist and entrepreneur, Purdie believes in forging enterprises rooted in artistic brilliance.
