We are excited to share some exciting information about the Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program (AGDEP)'s Advanced Certificate in Dance Education at Hunter College, CUNY. This program was designed for dance artists who already have an MA or MFA degree in dance and are interested in obtaining the NYS PreK-12 Dance Certification to teach full-time in NYC Public Schools. This 28-credit program allows working dance artists to become dance-certified without pursuing a second master’s degree. Scholarships are available for all incoming students!

Dance teachers are in high demand, and NYC Public Schools are hiring new art teachers for the upcoming academic year across all grades: elementary, middle, and high school. General Information:
The Advanced Certificate in Dance Education is a 28-credit graduate-level program designed for individuals who already hold a master's degree in dance and are seeking New York State PreK-12 dance teacher certification. As a student in the post-master's Dance Education Advanced Certificate Program, candidates will join a community of dance artists and educators within the Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program (AGDEP) at Hunter College School of Education. Being part of this community provides candidates with access to master classes and workshops specifically designed for dance educators, professional development opportunities, and a support network from peers and mentors.
