Sashalie Rios and Dianne Cano are proud to present Novellas: Diaries in Motion. 

We are seeking choreographers of all disciplines - contemporary, heels, jazz, commercial performance, fusions galore. If you have a medium that you'd like to have represented, this is your chance. We encourage both seasoned choreographers and first time creators to apply! 

Diaries in Motion is the theme for this first edition of the Novellas showcase. These are personal stories that you haven't previously been able to share in choreographic spaces come to life. This concept encapsulates themes such as aging, memory, the joy of life, being alive and all that it means. It's anything that the diary writing version of you would've written about. We kindly request that choreographic submissions adhere to the vast possibilities within this theme. 

 

Showcase Info: 

Location: Arts on Site 

Date & Time: Thursday, September 10th, 2026 at 6:30pm and 8:30pm 

Photo and video will be provided. Choreographer stipends will be determined by ticket sales and donations and will be given out after the showcase. 

 

Please apply using the Google form linked below. Pieces should not surpass 7 minutes in length, and we kindly request each piece to stay between 1-9 dancers.
