Position Title: Dance Teacher

Reports To: Studio Director 

Location: MotionScoop Dance Academy

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dance Teacher with expertise in Latin Dance Styles and Zumba to join our faculty this Summer 2026! Our summer classes run in a 6-week schedule from July 14-August 20, 2026. This role is ideal for someone who believes in the transformative power of dance and is well-adept at creating engaging classes catered towards adults, and the ability to inspire and support students in their artistic growth.

Work Schedule: 6 Weeks (July 14-August 20, 2026)

Tuesdays: Latin Dance/Fitness Class @ 7:00-7:50pm

Wednesdays: Zumba Class @ 7:00-7:50pm

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Education or professional experience in dance.

• Candidates who reside in NYC are encouraged to apply (Queens strongly preferred).

• Candidates with availability during Tuesday and Wednesday evenings this summer.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Latin Dance Styles and/or Zumba.

• Experience in developing lesson plans.

• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and behavior management techniques.

• Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
