FUSA Dance Festival - Call for Projects 2026

 
FUSA 2026 NYC Edition Casta Libre

FUSA is a contemporary dance project based between Paris and New York, designed as a living bridge between the French and American dance scenes. Led by Althea Dance Company, and hosted by the Cultural Center at Lycée Français de New York for the 2026 edition, on October 22nd, FUSA creates a space for exchange, experimentation, and performance for artists from diverse cultural and aesthetic backgrounds.

Call for projects

FUSA is open to professional Franco-American dance companies and/or companies with a strong connection between the two countries, language and culture. The festival offers a modest financial contribution of 500 USD per company. Choreographers may be invited to teach a class as part of the In Motion VII workshop for additional compensation.

All selected participaints will receive a small stipend for their contribution.
All participants will also be able to take the In Motion workshops free of charge.

All choreographic forms are accepted (solo, duo, trio, etc.)

Length: 8-30 minutes 

Deadline: August 7, 2026 at 11:59pm EST

- Description of the work
- An extract of the piece if it is a work-in-progress or the full-length video
- A google drive folder link with: Video to the Piece, Music, Choreographer’s Headshot, Production Photos
