SUMMER INTENSIVE 2025

Overview

Directed by Ronald K. Brown and Arcell Cabuag, the SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE offers today’s pre-professional and early career dancer a complete schedule of technique classes, repertory, mentorship and performance opportunities. The curriculum is designed to strengthen the versatility and virtuosity required of today’s professional dancer.

The two-week, full-day DANCE INTENSIVE includes daily technique classes, where dancers will be guided through a series of stretching and conditioning exercises all in support of their flexibility, strength, and overall fitness. Information about injury prevention and techniques to maintain physical readiness will also be offered. Classes will end with signature movement phrases found in the choreography of Ronald K. Brown.​

Repertory classes will supplement the warm-up and technique classes, allowing dancers to experience a professional rehearsal process.  Dancers will not only learn EVIDENCE repertory, but also the fundamentals and expectations of a professional dancer in the rehearsal space.

Program Schedule
Mondays - Fridays 11:00AM - 5:00PM

The daily schedule is divided into three parts:

11:00am - 12:30pm: Warmup
1:00pm - 2:30pm: Technique Class
2:30pm - 3:15pm: Lunch Break
3:15pm - 5:00pm: Repertory Class

Students who participate in the Summer Intensive will perform in a Public Community Performance on Saturday, August 16th with EVIDENCE, A Dance Company.

Dance Workshop Series

Offered as a series or drop-in program, the Dance Workshop Series runs concurrently to the Summer Intensive Monday to Friday, 6:30 to 8:30pm. 

The series can be included as an add-on program to the Summer Intensive for a discounted rate or as a single walk-in class. Please check our website for more details on Dance Workshop Series classes.

Tuition:

$750 will cover full two weeks of intensive technique and repertory classes
$900 will cover both the Summer Dance Intensive schedule and the evening Dance Workshop Series.
