Dance Magzine announces the 58th Annual Dance Magazine Awards, honoring five illustrious artists for their contributions to the dance world:

Flamenco artist Soledad Barrio, presented by Martin Santangelo;

ABT principal Marcelo Gomes, presented by Julie Kent;

Karen Kain, former principal dancer and current artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada, presented by Mikhail Baryshnikov;

dance archivist/writer/historian David Vaughan, presented by Valda Setterfield; and

Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, founder/artistic director of Urban Bush Women, presented by Millicent Johnnie. 

The evening will also include performances by Ms. Barrio, with flamenco musicians playing live, and members of Urban Bush Women and ABT.    

December 7, doors open at 7 PM; event begins at 7:30 PM at Ailey School, 405 West 55 St., 5th floor.
