Alessandra Corona Performing Works Spring Season 2026

New York, NY — Alessandra Corona Performing Works presents an evening of contemporary dance premiering three new creations by Alessandra Corona, Wesley Ensminger, and Miguel Miranda, developed in collaboration with the Company. The program brings together distinct choreographic voices in a shared exploration of identity, connection, and transformation, featuring “Chew”, “Hold,Hinder”, “New Work” and “Unexpected Gift”.

The Program Includes:

Chew
Choreographed by Madeline Burr in collaboration with the Company
“Chew” unravels labels and appearances, moving between a tightly held sense of self and complete disintegration. What happens when repetition tips into chaos—when rage, humor, or exhaustion break through the surface? In this cycle of being built up and torn down, the dancers invite audiences into a space where identity is consumed, dismantled, and reshaped again and again.

Music by Colin Stetson (“All This I Do for Glory,” “Spindrift”) and Arcade Fire & Owen Pallett (“Morning Talk / Supersymmetry”).

Hold, Hinder
Choreographed by Wesley Ensminger
“Hold, Hinder” explores the ever-shifting nature of human connection—what we hold onto, what fades, and what lingers. Tracing moments across past and present, the work captures the fleeting intersections that shape memory and meaning.

Unexpected Gift
Choreographed by Alessandra Corona
"Unexpected Gift" is a deeply moving work that uses the physical language of the body to navigate the non-linear journey of grief and the human capacity for resilience. The piece suggests that healing and comfort exist as an internal gift within each of us.

Original music by Thomas Lentakis
Music by Ran Bagno
