Eleo Pomare Alpha Omega Dance

Over five decades and counting, Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company pauses to reflect.  Custodian of a vast repertory of works by minority choreographers, the Company will perform three classic dances by Eleo Pomare: his 1964 "Hex" (to affect as by an evil spell); 1967 "Las Desenamoradas" (music by John Coltrane, based on Federico Garcia Lorca's play "House of Bernarda Alba"); and 1996 "Radeau" (Raft - A picture of Haitians caught in a stormy sea that stands between the life left behind and a hoped-for life ahead.   By Company Artistic Director Enrique Cruz DeJesus is the new "Exhibition" set to music by Astor Piazzolla and Daniel Binelli, played live by Uruguayan concert pianist Polly Ferman.
