At Home Encounters with LEIMAY invites audiences into our studio process. These gatherings open a window into works in development, allowing the public to witness research, experimentation, and collaborative exchange as they unfold.

On May 30 and 31, we share a work-in-progress iteration of Bodies on the Brink, a sculptural performance in which the LEIMAY Ensemble navigate kinetic wooden sculptures that translate weight and friction into sound. This showing marks the first time composers Jeremy D. Slater and Yuniya Edi Kwon join the process in real time, expanding the sonic field beyond the embedded microphones inside the sculptures.
