Audition for CityDance Summer Intensives with Dance Theatre of Harlem and Koresh Dance

Audition for CityDance Summer Intensives with Dance Theatre of Harlem and Koresh Dance Taylor Mickal Photography

Audition for CityDance Summer Intensives in Washington, DC on February 10, 2019. Intensives take place in Rockville, MD.

CityDance Summer Intensives provide a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary techniques taught by Dance Theatre of Harlem, Koresh Dance Company and International Artists, as well as CityDance Ballet Master Stanislav Issaev and award-winning contemporary choreographers including CityDance Choreographer-in-Residence Robert J. Priore.

Our signature structure of 1 - 2 week intensives with each professional company or artist allows young dancers to tailor their summer training to participate in one or all of these summer experiences.

Led by Artistic Director Lorraine Spiegler, CityDance prepares young dancers for 21st century careers with specialized training, rich performance opportunities and strong connections to the professional dance world.

Intensives are ideal for serious dancers, ages 8 to 20, interested in a challenging exploration of classical and contemporary training with daily classes in ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, contemporary, jazz and African. Other highlights include master classes with guest artists, choreography workshops and a culminating performance on the final day of each intensive.
