BLIND DATE, A Film by Howard Silver
Sara Mearns in Blind Date
Blind Date follows the process of creating a dance work with two renowned ballerinas from New York City Balllet -- Sara Mearns and Sterling Hyltin as they come together in an unlikely pairing with acclaimed experimental choreographers, the virtuosic Jodi Melnick and former Merce Cunningham Company dancer, Rashaun Mitchell.
In Blind Date, filmmaker Howard Silver documents the process and struggles of bringing together these artists' divergent talents, resulting in lasting and evolving relationships that have grown and continue to produce new work.
A New York film premiere, Blind Date was produced over a period of 10 years with no crew other than Silver as director, camerman, and editor.
