Please note that seating is first come, first served and space is limited in the Astor gallery. Schedule subject to change.

Master tap choreographer Brenda Bufalino opens her tap dance residency at the Library for the Performing Arts  to the public. All are welcome to witness an intergenerational, international group of tap dancers as they rehearse with and learn from Bufalino for video documentation that will be preserved by the Library.

Produced by the Jerome Robbins Dance Division, the two-week residency allows Bufalino to pass down solo material, along with historic ensemble choreography. The works in progress will be discussed and shared in an informal setting as part of the teaching and learning process, highlighting the artistry involved in continuing the legacies of this art form and, specifically, Bufalino's singular style. Through the residency, material will be captured and added to the Dance Division archive.
