CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHERS – NATIONAL DANCE WEEK CELEBRATION (APRIL 17–26)

Bare Soles – A Choreographers Showcase
: Presented by Kennedy Dancers

National Dance Week is celebrated annually from April 17–26, and Kennedy Dancers invites choreographers and performers to submit work for Bare Soles, a multi-artist showcase taking place during this national celebration.

Performance Date: Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 PM
Location: The Kennedy Dancers Studio
79 Central Ave
Jersey City, NJ 07306

This evening is an opportunity to showcase and show off any dance work — finished pieces or works in progress are welcome. The goal is to provide a platform for artists to share choreography in a supportive, collaborative performance environment.

All genres of dance are encouraged to apply.

Performance Guidelines:

- Maximum piece length: 8 minutes

- No performance fee

- No compensation will be provided

- Admission fee for audience members

- The event will be professionally video recorded

- Broadcast on cable television across 24 states

Submission Requirements (Deadline: March 25th):

Current resume with updated contact information

Reel (or reel link) featuring ONLY the performers who will participate in the showcase

Additionally, participating choreographers and performers may be eligible to perform in Kennedy Dancers’ upcoming outdoor Pier Performance at J. Owen Grundy Park on the Jersey City waterfront, tentatively scheduled for either July 9th or July 16th (date to be confirmed).
