For their ninth full-length performance, ChristinaNoel & The Creature presents Funnel of Love. Funnel of Love is ChristinaNoel's newest work, utilizing the company's trademark blend of dance and voice performance that straddles dance theatre and dance opera. Through their movement and original text and vocals, the performers experience each other’s memories and plans—curious of how a pivotal choice is going to change their life and affect other people.

The evening swings between truth and lies, assessing the precariousness and excitement of choosing to fall in or step back when finding oneself at a “tipping point.” As the company continues to refine vocal technique and composition, individual dancers express independent melodic lines that support the larger tonal center of the creation. Funnel of Love juxtaposes playful storytelling and large athletic movement within an eerie sonic container.

All the music in Funnel of Love is performed live, with pop and classical adaptations sprinkled among original compositions by the company musicians, performers, and ChristinaNoel.

Each performance will open with a different opening act, followed by The Creature’s Funnel of Love:

FRI 5/20 @ 8pm | mignolo dance

SAT 5/21 @ 8pm | Haley Morgan Miller

SUN 5/22 @ 5pm | The Ephyras, ChristinaNoel’s youth company

BONUS Ephyras-only performance: SAT 5/21 @ 5pm, feat. ChristinaNoel & The Creature
