Bradley Shelver, Artistic Director of the Joffrey Concert Group NY, announces the Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative 2026 (CMCI), a call for emerging choreographers in NYC and the Tri-State Area to apply.  CMCI offers two choreographers, between the ages of 19 and 35, the opportunity to create original works for the 20-member Joffrey Concert Group.  Those selected will each receive a $2,500 stipend and 40 hours of rehearsal time over four weeks to develop a new piece 12-17 minutes in length.  Applicants may work in modern or contemporary ballet styles.  The dances will be fully produced and presented at a theater in the Company's NY season, Feb. 20 & 21, 2026.  APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 30, 2025.  For further information, or to apply, please visit https://www.joffreyconcertgroupnyc.com/choreographic-initiative
