DO YOUR WORST brings together six artists to tackle the question: What is The Worst? We spend most of our time trying our best to make something good. What if, instead, we tried to make something bad? How would we go about failing intentionally? And how would it feel? Whether your idea of the worst is hackneyed or offensive, vulgar or boring, conformist or ludicrous, here's your chance to see it all in this spectacular celebration of failure. Who knows? You just may end up liking it.

Hailed as “goofy and charming” by American Theatre Magazine and “gleefully deranged and unapologetically messy” by Theatre Is Easy, BOOM BAT GESTURE Performance Group (BBG) is a multi-disciplinary performance ensemble whose present company includes Jon Burklund, Ilana Stuelpner, and Niko Tsocanos. Founded by Burklund and Stuelpner in 2010, BBG builds work through improvisation and collaborative processes, cultivating a unique voice in abstract storytelling and dark humor. Original works created in NYC include: Cthulhu’s House of Z (HERE, 2012), ZOOM Thousand Time (Incubator Arts, 2013), Don’t Let the Sun Set in Your Ass (Muchmore’s, 2014), LMFAOROTFCOL (Triskelion Arts, 2015; Dixon Place, 2016), Vlad & Cyanne (Silent Barn, 2016), and BLANKLAND! (Triskelion Arts, 2016; Vital Joint, 2017) Their ongoing, episodic variety show, Screen Eyed Baby Ice, has been presented in 11 iterations since 2012. BBG’s work has been supported by the Jerome Foundation, Salem Art Works Residency Program, and Incubator Arts Short Form Residency Program.
