Dance Educators Institute Training (DETI) 2014

The Annual "Dance Educators Training Institute" hosted by UMBC, presented by ClancyWorks Dance Company and Baltimore County Public Schools.


Description: A week-long workshop series designed to enable participants to delve deeper into their artistic pursuits and to enhance their pedagogical techniques in a challenging and supportive environment.
When: August 4-8, 2014 (10am-5:30pm daily)
Where: UMBC Department of Dance (Fine Arts 317, 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore MD 21250)

Also, the DETI is currently seeking proposals for presenters of the following tracks: Dance Technique (emphasis on modern techniques and world dance genres), Composition/Improvisation, Dance Science/Somatics, Curriculum Design/ Assessment, Connectivity/Technology, and Current Trends in Dance Education.

Aline Pilates Mat Teacher Training: Summer Intensive & Comprehensive Certification Program Aline is offering Teacher Training this summer! Whether you want to deepen your practice or begin the path toward teaching, this program offers a focused, immersive experience in the foundations of the classical Pilates method. Aline will be accepting a small, intimate group to ensure personalized guidance and support throughout the training. Schedule (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) • June 20–21 — Beginner Mat • July 25–26 — Intermediate Mat Location: 236 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 Investment: $450 per weekend You do not need to commit to both weekends—you are welcome to choose the session that best fits your goals.
