Dance Parade, the grand celebration of dance, returns LIVE Sat. May 21. Entitled "Back to the Streets," the event will open at noon with Mayor Eric Adams cutting the ribbon on Broadway & 20th St. Leading the Parade will be the Yunist School of Ukrainian Dance along with the 2022 Grand Marshals: Heidi Latsky, DJ Rich Medina, and Eduardo Vilaro.  130 dance groups, consisting of thousands of paraders showing over 100 genres of dance, will march down Broadway to Astor Place, where bandstands will be set up for viewers to watch short performances by selected companies.  The fun continues across St. Mark's Place to Tompkins Square Park, where 5 stages will be set up for longer performances and free classes.  Participating groups include Ballet Hispanico, Exit 12 Dance, Heidi Latsky Dance, Mazarte Mexican Folk Dance Company, NY Chinese Cultural Center, and Bolivian, Flamenco, Bellydance groups and much much more.  www.danceparade.org
