Join teacher and Artistic Director of The New York Baroque Dance Company, Catherine Turocy, for a lesson in "The Submission" a dance choreographed by Kellom Tomlinson in London in 1717 for "The French Children," none other than the famous ballerina Marie Salle and her brother. The dance begins with a Sarabande phrase of uncommon grace and beauty which will be the focus of the class. This multi part dance is followed by a minuet section and if dancers are already familiar with the minuet step we can easily learn this as well.
