This is an immersive two- hour workshop explores the sacred and social dances of Haiti, accompanied by high-energy recorded live drumming that captures the authentic spirit of the Lakou.

Participants will go beyond the steps to understand the history and "African Roots" behind the movement. From the foundational fluidity of the Yanvalou to the powerful rhythms of the Rara, you will learn how the social structure of Haiti transformed traditions into a unique language of resistance and celebration. Whether you are new to the culture or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop offers a space to honor the ancestors and connect with the vibrant pulse of Traditional Haitian dance.
