Home III - BMC Fall Showing 2021

Blue Morph Collective Fall Showing. Saturday, November 5th at 7pm. Diana Schwam

Blue Morph Collective's target audience are people who have yet to discover the possibility of having an emotional outlet through performance art. Our goal is to inspire and encourage the audience to engage their emotions through connecting with the performance. This show will be our fourth self produced show that gives a platform for artists to share their stories.

This Fall Showing, titled Home III, will be performed by Jazmine Dinkins, Praise Paige, Diana Schwam, Kellyn Thornburg Mylechreest, and Rachel Watson-Jih. Throughout the piece, the collaborating artists share personal stories about their relationship with their bodies. We invite the audience on a journey to relieve stress, and reconnect with their mind, body, and spirit through completing the body’s stress response cycle.

The stress cycle includes: physical activity, breathing, positive social interactions, laughter, affection, crying, and creative expression. As we traverse through the stress cycle, each artist will express their relationship with their body through one of these cycles. We recognize that our relationships with our bodies are uniquely crafted, with each of us having our own scars and delights. As we walk through the cycles, there will be an invitation for you to experience this new form of Eden with us.
