This evening’s event shines a light on the cultural preservation of the Latin Hustle partner dance style. Rooted in Latin rhythms, the dance evolved in the 1970s drawing strong influence from Latin dance styles such as Salsa and Mambo—dances that many urban teenagers grew up watching and practicing in their homes, shaped by the rich Latin culture of their immigrant families.
