In Memorian: Hector Zaraspe (1930-2023)

Gabriela Estrada, curator and mentee of Maestro Hector Zaraspe, announces In Memoriam: Hector Zaraspe - A Tribute to His Life and Legacy."  The tribute will include multidisciplinary performances by Maestro Zaraspe's mentees, with live dance, vocal, and piano music performances; an overview of his life and contributions to the arts; remarks by mentee Joseph Bartning, currently Executive Director of the Salzburg Festival Society; and closing remarks by Mel Howard, with whom Zaraspe collaborated as a choreographer for Broadway's Tango Pasion.  A native of Argentina, Maestro Zaraspe became a noted choreographer, coach of illustrious dancers including Fonteyn and Nureyev, and faculty member at The Juilliard School, where was a beloved teacher for 35 years.  Admission to the event is free, but RSVP is required.
