New York City Fringe Festival presents: In Preparation of War

Choreographed/directed by Vicky Virgin in collaboration with dancers: Toby Billowitz, Jane Kotapish, and Beth Leonard

Dance theater influenced by the violence of drill rap, boxing, the rules of war, and ballet training. Set in a consecrated place where warriors live, eat, and train. A drill master, 2 fighters, and a ghostly figure from battles past hold the 4 corners of the space. This darkly comic piece is about violence run amok and explores how violence is both performed and repressed within us.
