Introduction to Dance Therapy

In this introductory course to Dance Therapy we will explore the role of movement in non-verbal expression and communication, self-inquiry and integration, emotional experience, cultural and social behavior.

We will introduce ways to observe movement through the therapeutic lens inherent in dance therapy. We will offer this course in an online format, which will include both movement and verbal reflections about the basic processes of dance therapy. This course is appropriate for potential DMT students, dance educators, and those from other disciplines.
