Let's Dance 2022: Art with Heart

Elisa Toro Franky and Alonso Guzman in Sophisticated Lady by Lucia Jackson Kyle Froman

Accent Dance NYC is a non-profit organization that brings dance education and concert performances to schools and communities throughout NYC and lower Westchester, particularly in under-resourced neighborhoods.  Despite the challenges the arts community has experienced with COVID, Accent Dance NYC continues to provide engaging and multicultural dance residencies, educational performances, and concert performances to schools, arts organizations, and the community at large.   Our multicultural professional dancers hail from well-known dance companies across the globe, including the Cuban National Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, Tango Argentina, and beyond.  We perform works of contemporary ballet, hip hop, salsa, tango, modern dance, tap, African dance, and more.

Join us for a cocktail hour, dinner, dancing and live performances to support Accent Dance NYC's educational programming centered around equity, cultural diversity, and activism.

The evening will feature a contemporary ballet work by Cuban choreographer Pedro Ruiz, student performances, and the world premiere of Christie Coleman's modern dance work, The Waters, inspired by the Pueblo Indians' efforts to address contamination of their water sources.

An accessible Latin dance and hip hop workshop for attendees will conclude the evening's festivities.

Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis through https://artwithheart.swell.gives or visit our website at www.accent.dance.  Donations to the organization are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
