Guru Ramu Madanan, founder of Kalari Manoeuvre, is a brilliant Kalaripayattu Artist. A lawyer by profession, he became an instructor at the age of 19 years. He has performed in over 200 National & International events since making his debut in 2004 .
He won the Kalaripayattu National Championship twice and was honored with the Bangalore Youth Award (2014) He was selected as member of International Dance Council of UNESCO (2019) for his achievements in the art form.
He began his Kalaripayattu training under the guidance of Guru Asan Vinildas, of the Shivashakthi Kalari Kshethram and was an Instructor for Kalari Academy Bangalore (2005-2017) under the guidance of Ranjan Mullaratt. He also underwent traditional training in CVN Kalari Centre under the tutelage of Rajagopal Gurukkal, Indran Gurukkal, Vikas Gurukkal and Sanal Asan at the time.
Gutu Ramu introduced Kalaripayattu during the General Assembly of CID, UNESCO in Paris (2019) and the International Inclusive Dance Fest at Vigo, Spain (2023)
He represented India in the 58th World Congress of Dance Research in Greece, organized by CID, UNESCO & Cultural Ministry of Greece (2022) and at the International Arts Festival Moscow (2016 ). He performed for a Mahabharata Drama in Indonesia (2011) and has worked with TV5 French Channel for a Documentary on Kalaripayattu (2014).
He performed for the CVN Kalari centenary celebrations (2007) and for the Prime Minister of India (2017) He has performed for TV Channels like AXN, Times Now, NDTV, Asianet, TV9, Zee TV
