Taplife Hero Foundation Celebrates National Tap Dance Day with Free Public Concert in Queens, NY

Queens, NY – [May 24, 2025] – Taplife Hero Foundation is proud to announce the 9th Anniversary of its “National Tap Dance Day Celebration” on May 24, 2025, at the George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell in Forest Park, Queens, NY. This free public event aims to honor the art of tap dance and bring the community together for a day of dynamic performances, live music, and an opportunity for everyone to learn how to tap dance.

The event will feature live performances by world-renowned tap dancers, highly skilled tap dance companies, and talented students and teachers from local dance studios. Attendees will also enjoy live music, a DJ, and a special collaboration between Singer/Songwriter Frank Persico and #Taplife Company. We will also identify and honor a current community leader as “a champion for Tap dance”, awarding them with an official Taplife Hero Foundation citation and plaque.

As a special highlight, a free tap dance class will be offered to all attendees, led by Queens native and famous tap dancer Anthony Lo Cascio. This class provides a unique opportunity for people of all ages and skill levels to learn the basics of tap dance from one of the best in the field.

Taplife Hero Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of tap dance. This event is part of the Foundation's ongoing efforts to support the dance community and create opportunities for artistic expression and education.

The 9th Annual National Tap Dance Day Celebration is free to attend and open to the public. The event will take place from 11:00am to 3:00pm on May 24, 2025, at the George Seuffert, Sr. Bandshell in Forest Park, Queens, NY.
