Celebrate the “The Empowered Woman” with an evening of art and media highlighting dance, drama, and music. Join us for a Main Stage Performance at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater The Joan Weill Center for Dance in NYC and a lovely VIP Red Carpet and our annual “Awakening Award™” presentation.

Featuring:
Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company presents a magnificent solo from The Dance of the Furies. Dance of the Furies from the opera Orpheus by C.W.Gluck | soloist: Nikki Poulos. Choreography Lori Belilove, after Isadora Duncan. All staging and copyright Lori Belilove 2018

Critically acclaimed Dance Drama™ in the Rubans Rouges Dance repertoire: “RED RIBBONS™” Choreographed by Noelle Rose Andressen about her dramatic triumph over sexual child molestation. Additionally the company brings a piece honoring the women who have stood up and stood strong in the past year titled after the show: "The Empowered Woman - DanceWarrior™"; "art of brokenness"; will also be danced displaying the artistry of how one can be broken down in the utopian vs. dystopian society. "ROSEWOOD" depicts the true life story of Ms. Andressen's triumph over breast cancer in a cancer clinic as 3 women share 1 dream: To live. Dances performed by: Noelle Rose Andressen, Kale Andressen, Carol Butler, Albertossy Espinoza, Dalar Ghambari, Kelsey Morgaine, Talin Ohannessian, Courtney Tyler.

Under Noelle Rose Andressen Dance an Elite Extension of Rubans Rouges Dance "Coeur de Verre" will proudly make its second NYC showing. This passionate piece teaches how to trust again after being betrayed. It has blind landings (even more special and something to celebrate since the female performer has a disability and is legally blind with early on-set glaucoma), risk taking lifts and catches including the "T Split" which has become a trademark move of the company. It's performed by the dynamic duo of Andressen and Espinoza.

Harper Continuum Dance Theater HCDT will be performing GO! It’s a piece reflecting the warriors women are: Strength, Drive, Fearlessness, and Fighters. It’s an extremely athletic piece. GO! Choreography: Heather Harper (Harper Continuum Dance Theatre) Dancers: Jordan Norton, Cosette Richardson, Alexandra Lance, (TBD) Music: Clash Defiant (Kevin MacLeod) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License

LA FUSION Dance Theater will present: "Un Encuentro"; (Premiere) Music: Elena Andujar "Una Vez Mas"; Choreography: Albertossy Espinoza Dancers: Noelle Andressen, Albertossy Espinoza. A duet that showcases a "fusion" blend of contemporary and culture. This partnering team dazzles the stage again.

Dolly Sfeir and Dancers “Awakening Award™” Emerging Artist Winner brings a piece called "Thyself" about strong women supporting one another and many more performances that honor the strength and fortitude of women.

"Awakening Award™”
To close out the evening with an Honor to All Women, a very Special “Awakening Award™” Honors: Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company; Lois Greenfield, renown dance photographer.
