Public Enemy

Dancer/choreographer Iquail Shaheed returns with his DANCE IQUAIL! to NYC for the company's 16th NYC season with the world premiere of "Public Enemy," a 90-minute work created for nine male dancers.  In this new work, the Philadelphia based company explores black male identity in the context of social issues that disproportionately affect black men, particularly in the areas of policing, incarceration, and racialized violence.  Created by Dr. Shaheed in collaboration with civil rights leader William Cobb, storyteller Daniel Carlton, and composer Jo Jo Streater.
