iquail shaheed DANCE IQUAIL!

Dancer/choreographer Iquail Shaheed brings his Philadelphia-based company for its 16th NY season and the world premiere of PUBLIC ENEMY.  Created for an ensemble of 9 male dancers, the 90-minute work explores black male identity in the context of social issues that disproportionately affect black men, particularly in the areas of policing, incarceration, and racialized violence.  Created in collaboration with civil rights leader William Cobb, storyteller Daniel Carlton, and composer Jo Jo Streater.
