Audience will be required to show ID and proof of booster vaccination at the door and remain masked throughout the performance. Dancers will not be masked but are vaccinated. Seating will provide social distancing.

Douglas Dunn + Dancers is a modern dance company with a 44-year history dedicated to creating and performing original work by Douglas Dunn, nurturing the careers of artists, and stimulating the imagination of diverse audiences. While dancing with Merce Cunningham, Yvonne Rainer and the daring no-rehearsal collective, Grand Union, Dunn showed his first choreography with Sara Rudner in 1971. He formed DD+D in 1978, which tours the US and abroad, and at the age of 79 continues to be an active, original and influential voice in dance. With movement as foreground, Dunn’s free combining of elegance and anything goes produces a layered aesthetic as witty as it is serious. He collaborates with poets, painters, sculptors, musicians, composers and playwrights to offer a multifaceted theatrical experience. Long-time DD+D collaborators include Charles Atlas and Mimi Gross. Mimi Gross is a painter, set and costume designer, and teacher. Working in a variety of media, she has exhibited nationally and internationally. Her work is in numerous significant public and private collections. She has received fine arts grants from the NEA, NYFA, Institute of Arts and Letters, and a Bessie. Currently she is represented by Eric Firestone Gallery, New York. Mimi has worked with DD+D since 1979 and has made sets and/or costumes for over 25 dances choreographed by Douglas.
