This is a social tango dance course, which is the basis for stage and performance tango. The session is geared towards advanced beginners and intermediate dancers but all couples and singles of different levels are welcome. The 5-week course is designed to work on technique, learn steps and combinations, music, etiquette, history, and the genre's connection to NYC. 

The course is taught by master teachers, Leonardo & Olga Suarez Paz, directors of  PIAZZOLLA 100 and Suarez Paz Tango, Official Representatives of Academia Nacional Del Tango, one of 16 Government Academies in Argentina, Dean's Artists-In-Residence at NYU.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS:

Maestro Leonardo Suarez Paz is an award-winning, 4th generation Tango artist, who starred in all significant shows as prepare you a dancer and violin soloist, including The Mariano Mores Show, Tangox2, Perfumes de Tango, and soloist for Tango Argentino and Forever Tango on Broadway, among many others. Olga Suarez Paz directs Nuevo Tango Ballet and has been featured as a tango dancer and soloist in the world's top venues including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, and many others. Together they lead the award-winning, multidisciplinary organization Leonardo Suarez Paz's PIAZZOLLA 100.

CLASS INFO

You don't need dance shoes but please do wear comfortable, flexible shoes with a soft sole of suede, leather, or similar. Ladies are encouraged to have a pair of high heels. You can register for the entire course or attend the classes separately. No partner is needed. Everyone is welcome to participate.
