The Summer Dance Intensive provides two weeks of day-long instruction in different dance disciplines taught by renowned professional teachers. Class offerings include ballet, modern, street jazz, salsa, tap, African, theater Jazz, choreolab, hip-hop and Bollywood. At each week’s end, students perform dances they learned in class or created on their own at the informal "Fridays at Five Student Showing." Free and open to the public, Fridays at Five will be held on August 20 and 27 at 5 pm. Dancewave’s Demitasse Summer Cafe returns, an informal series presenting the work of professional guest choreographers, followed by an open discussion with the artist. Demitasse Summer Cafe is free and open to the public, and will be held on Wednesdays, August 18 and 25, 3:30-4:30 pm.
