Choreographer/conservationist Martita Goshen presents her Earthworks in "The Way of The Whale," a tribute to the great whales and prayer for their survival. The performance, which will take place on June 5th, World Environment Day, will feature an ensemble of 9 dancers, performing to an original score by David Darling and to "Songs of the Humpback Whales," by renowned marine biologist Dr. Roger Payne, who discovered that humpback whales sing.
An additional event will take place Sat. June 6th - a workshop from 10 AM to 12 noon, open to all from 5 years of age up, exploring the way of the way - their unique movement patterns, vocalizations, and behaviors that lead to their harmonious lives. Attire is loose clothes and socks. Workshop includes warmup, breaking into pods, leaping, and joyful movement offerings.
