slowDANCE presents…. tinyDANCE at Purgatory BK! A performance installation. 

WHEN? June 9th, 7-10 pm. The installation runs in 30 minute chunks; stay for an hour if you want to see the complete six-act installation. 

WHAT? tinyDANCE is a site-specific installation where interdisciplinary performance artists fill tiny spaces with big ideas at Purgatory BK. Come wander, witness, and wonder as dance, puppetry, drag, and ethereal vocals fill the tiny alcoves of the bar. It’ll be sensual, strange, tender, silly. Stay for a drink to support this amazing queer owned bar and TIP YOUR BARTENDERS! 

WHO THE PERFORMERS ARE! tinyDANCE features performance works by Luna Beller-Tadiar, Yang Sun & Poets, Tor Breen + mik phillips, Peet The Scholar + Arzu Salman, Sammie Murray + Nyah Malone, Leah Levine, and sounds by Judette Elliston. 

WHO WE ARE? slowDANCE is a performance organization with a process-forward mindest. We began through conversations about our experience as active choreographers in NYC with the desire to share resources, performance opportunities, and develop new work. We are an artistic home for sustainable process and serious play in performance making.
